Antimicrobial resistance is one of the most pressing global health challenges, with significant implications for health systems, patient outcomes, economic resilience and equitable access to effective treatment. At a time when governments and global health stakeholders are looking to strengthen pandemic preparedness, advance implementation of commitments on antimicrobial resistance, and improve access to healthcare, there is a growing recognition that responsible self-care and health literacy can help support appropriate prevention and more resilient community level care.

Co-hosted by the Global Self-care Federation, Reckitt and the Commonwealth Pharmacist Association on Monday 18th from 2pm-3:30pm, this roundtable will bring together high level representatives from governments, permanent missions, multilateral health stakeholders, the private sector to discuss how self-care can contribute to national and global responses to antimicrobial resistance. The discussion will explore practical policy approaches to prevention, including WASH, health literacy and in support of cross sector collaboration in support of resilient health systems.

The event will also provide an opportunity to exchange views of key global health policy discussions, including the 5th Ministerial meeting on antimicrobial resistance.

Limited participation, invitation-only.
