The Global Self-Care Federation represents associations and manufacturers in the self-care industry, promoting sustainable and better global health outcomes for all. We serve as the global voice of the self-care life sciences industry, investing in, innovating, and supplying key self-care management interventions for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of numerous diseases and conditions. These interventions include non-prescription medicines, self-care health products, and self-management devices that empower individuals to take greater control of their health. Our focus is on evidence-based solutions that improve health outcomes and increase healthcare system optimization.

We represent associations and manufacturers in the self-care industry, working closely with our members and relevant stakeholder groups to ensure evidence-based self-care products and solutions are recognized as key contributors to health for individuals and systems worldwide.
The Global Self-Care Federation envisions a world where self-care is recognized, embraced, and seamlessly integrated into healthcare systems, enabling individuals to lead healthier, more empowered lives.
To champion, promote, and facilitate self-care management solutions for the prevention and treatment of numerous conditions and diseases as an integral component of healthcare, empowering individuals to take an active role in managing their health and well-being, whilst contributing to healthcare system optimization.
GSCF is in official relations with the United Nations and engages at international level with multilateral organizations, government UN missions, global policymakers, and international healthcare stakeholders to advocate for policies that recognize and support self-care.
We represent the self-care industry and contribute to international public health goals through our specialized expertise.

organisation
The Global Self-Care Federation is a dynamic international organisation at the forefront of advancing self-care as a pivotal component of global healthcare systems. Committed to enhancing individual and community well-being, the Federation engages in a multifaceted approach, encompassing advocacy, research, education, and collaboration. By advocating for policy reforms, setting quality standards, promoting access, and fostering partnerships, the GSCF empowers individuals to take control of their health, ensuring that self-care becomes an integral and accessible part of healthcare worldwide.
Become a
member
The Global Self-Care Federation is a non-governmental and non-profit making, association, headquartered in Nyon, Switzerland (near Geneva)
Our membership comprises national, and regional associations, and manufacturers and distributors of non-prescription medicines and products across all continents.
Any company manufacturer of non-prescription medicines and products (including oral health products) and food supplements can apply for membership of GSCF.
Similarly, any national or regional association representing consumer healthcare product manufacturers can also apply.
GSCF also has an Associate membership category where companies who supply supporting services to us or our members may apply, such as: PR companies, advertising agencies, public affairs groups, regulatory and marketing agencies.
Each request for admission by an association or by a manufacturer must be addressed in writing to the Director-General. Applications for admission are considered by the Global Self-Care Federation Board of Directors. A majority vote of Directors is required for admission.
